Robbie and Kat met at St. John's College the first week of their Freshman Year. Although on their first meeting Kat was sick and Robbie played reggae, Kat found herself smitten with Robbie and Robbie found himself fabricating an excuse to visit the next day. By bus, Robbie and Kat began their exploration of Santa Fe searching for the best tamales, trails, and frozen yogurt, all the while having spirited debates about the many books they were reading. Robbie proved to be a sweet, considerate, intelligent, silly, witty boyfriend and Kat showed herself to be a whimsical, empathetic, kind, clever, intuitive girlfriend.
Kat and Robbie continued to grow together and independently over the next four years. They went to dinner parties, picnics, hikes, and adventures. They gained wonderful friends and eventually adopted an adorable conniving kitten named Alis! Robbie visited Kat's home and family in College Station and, even though he was dumbfounded that on one occasion they literally watched paint dry, he loved meeting Kat's family and friends. Kat then visited Robbie's home where she was thrilled to be surrounded not only by beautiful Hawaii, but also by Robbie's loved ones.
